Daniel Myers

was born in the Ozarks and moved to Oregon at the age of 7. Myers spent time in the Philippines where his parents served as missionaries, and later fell in love with the sensitive and visual story tellers of country music while in the army. He later called Ohio his home where a budding scene was beginning to take place.

In 2020 Myers released his debut solo record produced by Lisa Bella Donna, “Soy Boy Blues”. He experimented with synth sound scaping and searing guitar work surrounded by chronical story telling, and infusing congenial autobiographical concepts and internal perceptions.

Produced by Brandon MacLean for Myers’ sophomore 2023 release, “Hell Of A Year” digs firmer yet into the credence and life experience he found while also digging his heels into playing bars and honkytonks. The live performance quality is a fine example of embracing the limitations of our time and a clear representation of never letting fear drive the bus.

Myers is the primary founder of the Columbus staple and monthly showcase “The Cosmic Honky Tonk”, and a member of the country songwriter outfit “Gilded Sun”.

“This healing process unfolds throughout Hell of a Year, a break-up record that takes its sonic cues from the wide-open vistas Myers traversed journeying to the West Coast and back. Throughout, the musician dabbles in songs awash in pensive acoustic strumming, dusty, Western-style slow burns and country-tinged goodbyes.”
